Nancy Kay Honegger, 81, Forrest, passed to her heavenly home on April 7, 2022.
Her funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Forrest. Pastor Paul Lellelid and Deacon Lyn A’Hearn will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, and from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, both at the church. Burial will be at Forrest Twp. Cemetery. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is assisting with arrangements.
The family suggests memorials be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Forrest or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. 
Nancy was born May 24, 1940, in Fairbury, the daughter of Hugh and Leona Metz Wallace.  She married Jerry L. Honegger in Forrest on August 30, 1959.  He preceded her in death on December 5, 2020.
Survivors also include her children: her daughter Marci (Randy) Rich of Bloomington and their children, Alex (Ellie) Rich, Tyler (Alyssa) Rich and Kaleigh (Chris) Curran; her daughter Dara (Derrick) Surratt of Alexandria, Virginia, and their daughters, Caroline and Emily; and her son Brent (Kelly) Honegger of Fairbury, and their children, Luke (Taylor) Honegger, Brock, Megan, and Sam. One great-grandchild, Lochlan Honegger.
Nancy was a 1958 graduate of Forrest-Strawn-Wing High School and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Forrest, where she loved to sing. She especially loved meeting friends at coffee and hosting pizza nights with family. Nancy loved being a mom and grandma. She always said it was the only job she ever wanted, and she was good at it! She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and memorable laugh.

​Patricia Perkins, 79, Fairbury, died at 12:00 pm Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 am Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the 1st United Methodist Church, Fairbury with Pastor Paul Wier officiating.  Burial will be in South Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, March 14, 2022 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:30 to 10:15 am Tuesday at the church.  The family suggests memorials be given to the Livingston County Humane Society or Fairview Haven Retirement Community.
Pat was born January 27, 1943 in Ottawa, IL the daughter of Clarence and Wanetta Doty Wilson.  She married Donald Perkins on February 17, 1962 in Jacksonville, IL.  He survives in Fairbury.
Other survivors include their children, Jeff Perkins, Durham, NC, Carol (Eric) Vaughan, Fairbury, two granddaughters, Morgan and Macy Vaughan, Fairbury, one sister, Linda (Dennis) Fosen, Odell, and one brother, Sam (Deb) Wilson, Leroy.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Pat was a 1961 graduate of Chenoa High School.  After high school she worked in the cafeteria at the Lexington Schools.  Later they moved to Durham, NC where she worked at Duke University until Donald’s job relocated them to Florida.  Pat then worked as a secretary at Big Bend United Methodist Church in Riverview, FL retiring in 1998.  After retirement Pat and Don moved back to Fairbury to be close to family.  Pat was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Fairbury.
In retirement Pat enjoyed her time with family, especially her two granddaughters and wintering in Florida.  She was a Duke basketball and Chicago Whitesox fan.

Roger Carl Bachtold, 82, Fairbury, died at 4:02 am Monday, February 21, 2022 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
His funeral will be at 11:00 am Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Living Word Church, Roberts with Pastor Douglas Lee officiating.  Burial will be in the South Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Fairbury with full military rites accorded by the Fairbury VFW and American Legion posts.

Mr. Bachtold was born April 2, 1939 in Forrest, IL the son of Carl S. and Dorothy L. Ramseyer Bachtold.  He married Shirlene McCarter on September 23, 1962 in Purvis, MS.  She preceded him in death on March 23, 2021.
Survivors include their children, Dorothy (Dennis) Goodman, Sabetha, KS; Lorraine (Joseph) Bider, North Richland Hills, TX; Sarah Bachtold, Fairbury; Roger (Debbie) Bachtold, Fairbury; Jon (Melinda) Bachtold, Foley, AL; Joseph (Cathy) Bachtold, Fairbury; Mathew (Jill) Bachtold, Springhill, KS; twenty grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Miriam (Ben) Metz, Francesville, IN; Herbert (Jan) Bachtold; Roberta (Wayne) Broquard; Gloria (Wayne) Drayer, all of Fairbury; Sam (Betty) Bachtold, Roscoe, IL.
Mr. Bachtold was a successful businessman in Fairbury for many years and was member of the Living Word Church, Roberts.  He served in the United States Airforce.

Belen Gabat Secoquian MD, 88, Fairbury, died at 12:15 pm Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, Fairbury.
Her funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, February 19, 2022, at St. Andrew Catholic Parish, Fairbury with Fr. Scott Archer officiating. Burial will be in South Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
All are invited to attend the recitation of the holy rosary followed by a family eulogy at 4:30 pm on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. If you choose to only attend the visitation, the public is also welcome between 5:30 and 8:00 pm at the memorial home. In consideration of the more vulnerable members of the family, please wear masks while indoors.

Belen was born July 11, 1933, in Manila, Philippines the daughter of Col. Felix and Victoria DeGuzman Gabat. She married Dr. Cesar Movida Secoquian on March 24, 1962, in Quezon City, Philippines. He survives in Fairbury.
Other survivors include one son, Ivan Secoquian, Fairbury, two daughters, Tanya (Reginald) Williams, Tracy, CA, Natasha (Daniel) Lauer, Chicago, three grandchildren, Jordan, Andrea and Samantha Williams, and one sister, Imelda (Lucio) Abad, Toronto, Canada. She is preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Belen received her medical degree from Manila Central University in 1961. She and Dr. Secoquian moved to the United States in 1966 with their two children. They initially resided in New Brunswick, NJ, where she enjoyed working at Middlesex General Hospital. They moved to Charleston, WV in 1967, followed by Weston, WV, Pontiac, IL and finally residing in Fairbury in 1975. While taking time to focus on raising her family, Belen remained active with the Women’s Auxiliary at Fairbury Hospital. Belen assisted her husband in his medical practice at his office in Fairbury from 1985 until retiring in 2005.
Mrs. Secoquian was a devout Catholic, a member of St. Andrew Parish (St. John the Baptist Church), Fairbury. Her hobbies included sewing and gardening. She was especially skilled in golf and won several awards while a member of Indian Creek Golf & Country Club.
To those that knew her, she was well known for her cooking, baking and warm hospitality. She enjoyed playing and teaching piano, traveling the world, and spending time with her family and friends.

​Fairbury – Larry Neil Lancaster, 84, of Fairbury, passed away at 9:36am, on January 22, 2022, at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
Larry was born October 28, 1937, in Sumner, the son of George and Jessie (Likens) Lancaster.
Upon graduation from Sumner High School, Larry enlisted in the Air Force where he served for four years. After his tour of duty, he attended Eastern Illinois University from which he graduated in 1962.
He met his future wife, Jan, at Eastern and they married in December, 1962.
After graduation Larry began a long career teaching English to high school students in Fairbury.
Larry is survived by his wife; brothers-in-law, Pete and Dave Pasero and his sisters-in-Law, Chris and Stephanie Pasero and Joyce Dutton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as special friends, Phil and Danielle Bane and their children, Emily, Becca and Nile.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, LaRita Palmer and her husband Richard.
Larry enjoyed (most of the time) playing golf with his buddies and gardening with the next-door neighbor children, Emily, Becca and Nile, with whom he shared a special bond.
At Larry’s request there will be no funeral or visitation. Larry will be laid to rest next to Jan’s mother at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Paris, IL.

Lola I. Steffen, 75, Fairbury, died at 6:40 pm Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury with ministers of the church officiating.  Burial will be in the South Apostolic Christian Cemetery, rural Fairbury.

Mrs. Steffen was born June 6, 1946 in Fairbury the daughter of Clayton and Margaret Huber Ott.  She married Henry A. Steffen on August 16, 1964 in Danvers.  He survives in Fairbury.
Also surviving are their children, Tami (Neil) Bahler, Tricia Steffen and Troy (Rebecca) Steffen, all of Fairbury; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Lou Ott, Eureka and one brother, Glenn (Mardell) Ott, Sarasota, FL
She is preceded in death by two great granddaughters, two brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Steffen was a 1964 graduate of Danvers High School and was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury.

Fairbury – Robert Perkins, 89, of Fairbury passed away at 2:40am, December 21, 2021, at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.

Robert was born December 31, 1931, in Piper City the son of Lester and Myrtle Thorndyke Perkins. He married Alene F. Zimmerman. She died January 15, 2016.
Surviving are her daughters, Linda Beckhoff of Farmer City, Patty (Gary) Hofmann and Bobbi Jo (Charlie) McKeon both of Fairbury; grandchildren, Andrew Medendorp, Sara Krzyzaniak, Kathryn Medendorp, Amy Drobny, Daniel Beckhoff, Amber Werts, Jennifer Whitfill, Janelle Henkel, Eric Hofmann, Chris McKeon, and Kendra Smith; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Perkins; and one sister.
Robert was a member of First United Methodist Church, Fairbury.
He farmed in the Livingston County area.

Kenneth L. Helmers, 84, of Anchor, IL passed away on December 16, 2021 at Fairview Haven Nursing Home, in Fairbury. He was born on June 3, 1937 to W. Floyd and Lila Sweet Helmers and married the love of his life, Anna Phillips, on September 30, 1956.
Visitation for Kenny will be at held East Lawn Funeral Home on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 610 IAA Drive, Bloomington on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 10:30 am. Mrs. Cox was born June 4, 1918, in Strawn the daughter of Andrew and Martha (Zimmerman) Koehl. She married Wayne Cox on February 20, 1941. He died August 20, 1991.
Surviving are her daughters, Gloria (Lyle) Ebach and Gail (Kenneth) Kafer both of Fairbury; grandchildren, Jennifer (Doug) Dierkes of Bloomington, Gretchen (Jim) Sitman of Carol Stream, Kent (Amy) Kafer, Kevin (April) Kafer, and Courtney (Mark) Farrell all of Fairbury; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; sister, Velda Huette of Fairbury; sisters-in-law, Gladys Koehl of Fairbury and Janita Koehl of OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Cox was a cook at Fairbury Cropsey School for 19 years.

Colfax – Marilyn Kellar, 86, of Colfax, passed away at 9:10pm, November 7, 2021, at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.

Marilyn was born November 20, 1934, in Pontiac the daughter of Rudolph and Mary (DeGroodt) Westermeyer.
She married Leon Kennedy Kellar on December 5, 1954, in Eppards Point Twp. He passed away March 11, 2015.
Surviving are her daughters, Kim Streenz of Colfax and Lea Ann (Larry) Watson of Lexington and sons, Rodney (Teri) Kellar of Colfax and Todd (Cheryl) Kellar of East Peoria; grandchildren, Kara (Chad) Ritchie, Brooke (Dave Wiltz) Hermanowicz, Michael (Lindsey) Kellar, and Lauren (Dustin McCarty) Kellar; great-grandchildren, Addison and Jackson Ritchie, Mia Trudo, and Graceyn and Hadley Kellar.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
Marilyn was secretary for Octavia School District from 1967-1989 and Ridgeview High School from 1989-1996.
Marilyn was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Colfax. Going to church and her church family meant a lot to Marilyn.
She enjoyed many family vacations and especially traveling to Williamsburg, Galena, New York, and Colorado.
Marilyn truly loved and shared a special bond with her siblings and her nieces and nephews.
Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a very special place in her heart. She loved them dearly and was very proud of them.

Alvin Raymond “Ray” Mishler 99, of Fairbury passed away at 2 pm, Friday, October 29, 2021 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.   
Cremation rites have been accorded with private family services.  The family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury or First United Methodist Church of Fairbury or SELCAS, Fairbury. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements. 
Mr. Mishler was born on May 6, 1922 in Brokaw Hospital, Normal; a son to Israel and Hattie (Metzger) Mishler.  He married Marjorie E. Lewis on November 25, 1944 in Bloomington. His wife, Marge survives in Fairbury.
Also surviving are his children, Linda (John) Gathman of Longmont, CO; Roger (Nancy) Mishler of El Paso; Robert Mishler of Champaign; two grandchildren, Christopher Gathman of Greeley, CO and Ryan Mishler of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters and one grandson Dannon Mishler.
Ray lost his father at an early age and began farming.  As the youngest son of the family, he managed his mother’s farm near Carlock until it was sold in 1943.  He served as a Sergeant in the US Army Air Force from 1944 to 1946 as a radio operator.
After the service, Ray farmed for a family friend in Carlock before moving to Fairbury in 1951. There he farmed for forty years.  Ray retired from farming in 1991 and moved into Fairbury. He worked various jobs, finally retiring from the City of Fairbury Water Department in 2012 at age 90. Ray was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fairbury and a Mason. ​

John W. Stork, 84, Roberts, passed away at 10:50 am Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
John was born June 14, 1937 in Fairbury, IL the son of Henry and Ida Hanni Stork.  He married Eunice Fehr on July 25, 1964 in Pontiac, IL.  She survives in Roberts.

John served in the United States Army, was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury.
John’s funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury with ministers of the church officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairbury Apostolic Christian Cemetery with military rites accorded by the Fairbury VFW and American Legion posts.

Wayne Leon Anliker, 84, Fairbury and formerly of Forrest, passed away at 1:20 pm Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Mr. Anliker was born March 17, 1937 in Fairbury.  The son of Emil and Louise Kaisner Anliker.  He married Judy Traub on March 30, 1958 in Forrest.  She survives in Fairbury.
Other survivors include their children, Sherri (Paul) Kelson, Normal, Rodney (Anne) Anliker, Tempe, AZ, Robert (Linda) Anliker, Forrest, Sandra (Mike) Zimmerman, Dublin, OH, Steve (Sara) Anliker, Reynolds, IN; eighteen grandchildren, twenty- six great grandchildren; one sister, Beverly (John) Eisenmann, Fairbury and one brother, Gary (Edie) Anliker, Elgin.
Mr. Anliker had been a poultry farmer for many years.  He was a member and past minister and elder at the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest.

Donald was born September 17, 1927, in Hancock, MN, the son of Ben and Minnie Wenger Rinkenberger. He married first married Rita Stephen on August 28, 1955. She died October 26, 1975. He then married Florence Ann Bender on December 1, 1979 in Forrest. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Kim (Larry) Baggerly of Springfield, Dawn (Paul) Stork of Chatsworth, and David Rinkenberger of Forrest; grandchildren, Megan Wymore, Elijah (Ashley) Stork, Jared (Jenna) Stork, Isaiah (Brooke) Stork, Tamra (Thadd) Zimmerman, and Joshua Rinkenberger; 18 great grandchild; brothers,  Robert (Kay) Rinkenberger of Piper City, and Jack (Carolyn) Rinkenberger of Fairbury; sisters, Darlene (Joe) Miller of New Castle, OK and Barbara (Kenneth) Lund of Tucson, AZ; and sister-in-law, Mary Rinkenberger of Denver, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughters, Kimberly and DeAnn;two brothers, Duane and Kenneth; and two grandsons, Benjamin and Lucas Stork.
Donald retired from General Telephone in Pontiac.
Donald was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the Forrest American Legion.

​Dorothy Mae (Wagenseller) Dassow, 94, a resident of Fairview Haven Independent Living, Fairbury, passed away at 7:29 am Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at her residence, Fairbury. 
Mrs. Dassow grew up on the family farm north-west of Fairbury.  Dorothy attended all eight grades in a little one room schoolhouse. After graduation from Fairbury High School, she studied art at the Art Institute in Chicago.
On June 6, 1948 she married Elmer Dassow Jr. and they moved to Chatsworth to farm.  She loved the farm life.  While raising three children, she also raised chickens, ducks, sheep, goats and helped with the pigs and cows.  Dorothy had a special fondness for her cats.  She loved beauty and had numerous gardens and flower beds that she shared.  Dorothy also made and sold handmade crafts.  To her church she donated many skillfully crafted pieces.  Dorothy was a member of the United Methodist Church in Chatsworth and taught Sunday School for 33 years.  She is the last of her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, one son and one grandson.  Her husband, Elmer preceded her in death on September 14, 2007.
Survivors include two daughters, Marla (Ervin) Fehr and Becky (Rusty) Barker, three grandsons, Travis (Abby Wurmnest) Barker, Jim (Lisa) Barker and Clinton “C.J. Barker, seven great grandchildren, Dana, Hana, Hunter, Morgan, Maggie, Bow and Willow Barker.  Also, surviving are one nephew and two nieces.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great grandma and aunt and will be missed.
Visitation will be 9:30 – 10:30 am Friday, June 4, 2021 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury followed by her funeral at 10:30 am.   Interment will be in Chatswoth Cemetery.
