A loss in the family ... Sal Markwalder

Marcella "Sal" Markwalder, 92, of Cissna Park passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Fairview Haven Nursing Home in Fairbury. She was born on April 23, 1929 in Cissna Park, the daughter of Albert A. and Bertha (Feller) Kaufmann.
Surviving are two daughters, Marcia (Ron) Yergler of Cissna Park and Sara (Terry) Reutter of Pittsboro, IN; one brother, Don Kaufmann of Bloomington; six grandchildren, Abby (John) Faber, Mitchell (Megan) Yergler, Marcus (Pamela) Yergler, Joanna Yergler, Jessica (Wade) Danforth, Christopher (Steffany) Reutter; and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers, Robert, Clyde, Wilmer, Ben, Arch, Cal, and Albert; and five sisters, Lydia Rocke, LaVerne Kaufmann, Emily Eisenmann, Martha Rinkenberger, Bertha Sinn Stoller.
Marcella was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Cissna Park.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Apostolic Christian Church in Cissna Park. Ministers of the Church will officiate. Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
