Good Neighbors at Fairview Haven
Fairview Haven has a long legacy of caring in our neighboring communities. Many who live here are active community members and volunteers. We believe part of our mission statement "encouraging growth" includes creating opportunities to share with others.
"Life abounds" when we can give to one another and to our community. Fairview Haven encourages volunteerism by supporting team members and residents in their personal efforts, as well as seeking out connections and opportunities for giving.
Fairview Haven gives incentives to team members for specific events.
The Fairview Haven Good Neighbors committee was formed to help with these efforts. Please contact Rick Plattner, Anna McKeon, Trish Steidinger, Crystal Miller, Barb Hall or Sally Fehr with any community giving ideas or input.
Serenity Villa creates beautiful tie blankets.
The Healing Blankets are shared with people in the community who are in need of a healing touch or with Hope Pregnancy Center in Pontiac.
Hurricane Michael devastated Altha, FL.
One of our Fairview Haven team members has
family living in Altha. Our team member went to Florida with a vehicle full of supplies contributed
and packed by the Fairview Haven family to provide
a little relief to the small town.

At Fairview Haven, we love spreading Christmas cheer. We collect gifts and food for kids and families in the community. Residents wrap the gifts for the kids.
Fairbury and the surrounding communities are a vital part of our mission of caring. Fairview Haven

for Salvation Army at Dave's Supermarket.

Food Pantry Projects
The FVH Good Neighbors committee prepared food and hygiene packs for 150 children served through area food pantries. Thanks to all the FVH team who so generously donated food and hygiene items!
Also thanks to Dr. Aaron Michaels DMD for donated toothbrushes and toothpaste, to Harvest Call for donated snacks and to Meadow Lane Private School and area homeschoolers for cards of encouragement.
Appreciating Our Civil Services
We appreciate our community's services and provided subs from Dave's Supermarket, ice cream certificates from Kilgus Farmstead and homemade cookies, as well as notes of appreciation for them. Thanks to the great team at Fairview Haven for your donations!
And THANKS to our local police, firefighters and SELCAS crew for your sacrifices and caring for our communities!
Our team provided a work team to serve at Catalyst Ministries. Catalyst Ministries is a national Christian organization that provides a residential, restorative program, reaching and rescuing women who are survivors of human trafficking and exploitation.
Supporting Local Healthcare
We sent some love and encouragement (and snacks!) to the team at St. James Medical Center. From one healthcare team to another ... we understand how stressful and disheartening the past couple years have been. Love and prayers to you all and THANK YOU for caring for our communities!
