Serenity Villa is Fairview Haven’s newest residence … an assisted living memory support care home built north and east of the current Fairview Haven community. Serenity Villa was dedicated to the glory of God and officially opened on July 26, 2018.
Serenity Villa is a household (small house) memory support care home. (See more information below at left about households.) 20-22 people have the opportunity to reside at Serenity Villa with a dedicated team of memory support caregivers to love and serve them. Serenity Villa has been intentionally designed as a home with special features of a memory care environment. VISITING SERENITY VILLA / TOURS Serenity Villa is, above all, a home. As a private home, we respect the sanctity of the home and the choices of its inhabitants. Visitors and family members are welcome to visit people who reside there. Please ring the doorbell at the front door. The Serenity Villa team will then open the door so you can enter. Serenity Villa is not open to general tours. Please see the link at left to take a video tour of our beautiful home. You can also see the rooms and take a virtual walk around the courtyard in the 360-degree photographs in the link at left. If you are interested in moving into Serenity Villa or a loved one moving in there, please contact Sally Fehr or Anna Bahler in Social Services for availability. What Is A Household?As the Fairview Haven team researched the best options for people with dementia, we learned that the household (small house) model is far superior to the traditional nursing home, especially for dementia care. In the past 10 years, we have been studying household and small house concepts. We would be delighted to share this information with you. Households or neighborhoods are the present and future of eldercare.
“The household model is defined as: Small groups of people sharing house and home while directing their own daily lives… The household is each person’s home and sanctuary. The physical building is designed to be a true home.”1 In a household, people and caregivers bond as a family.
