Lois Ann Steidinger
June 07, 1932 - April 28, 2017 Lois Ann Steidinger, 84 of Fairbury, formerly of Cropsey, passed away at 6:10 pm, Friday, April 28, 2017 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, May 1, 2017 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Private funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 also at the funeral home in Fairbury; with the ministers of the Christian Apostolic Church of Fairbury officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be directed to Fairview Haven Retirement Community or Southeastern Livingston County Ambulance Service, both of Fairbury. Miss Steidinger was born June 7, 1932 in Fairbury; the daughter of Benjamin and Naomi (Alt) Steidinger. Her parents, one brother, Warren; one brother in-law, Vernon Edelman; and one great nephew, Andy Jon Strahm preceded her in death. Survivors include three brothers, Arthur Steidinger of Cropsey; Ronald (Lucille) Steidinger of Fairbury; William Steidinger of Normal; two sisters, Ruth Edelman of Strawn; Louise (James)Menold of Sabetha, KS; 11 nephews, 6 nieces and 34 great nieces and nephews. Miss Steidinger was employed at Fairbury Hospital, a homemaker, and a member of the Christian Apostolic Church of Fairbury. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Fairview Haven Retirement Community for the care given to Lois over the last 8 plus years. A special thank you to the staff of Advocate BroMenn Medical Center and Advocate BroMenn Hospice Care for their care during her last days.

Susan Jane Tinges March 23, 1932 - April 21, 2017 Susan “Susie” Jane Tinges, 85, Fairbury and formerly of Bloomington, died at 10:40 pm Friday, April 21, 2017 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury. A graveside service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. The family suggests memorials be given to the Community Cancer Center, Normal or Serenity Villa at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements. Ms. Tinges was born March 23, 1932 in Tompkinsville, KY the daughter of Raymond and Sarah Emberton Hume. Surviving is a special cousin, Janice (Curtiss) Meiss, Fairbury. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Tinges and an infant brother, Randall Hume. Ms. Tinges was a 1950 graduate of Forrest-Strawn-Wing High School and graduated from Mennonite School of Nursing. She worked as a medical and surgical assistant for Dr. Robert Conklin for 20 years and worked at Eastland Medical Plaza. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Fairbury; Lakeside Country Club and Crestwicke Country Club. Her hobbies included golfing, traveling, bowling, reading, movies, Broadway plays and bridge. Sue had many special friends that she deeply loved. She went out of her way to make a positive difference in their lives. The family is grateful to Fairview Haven for their wonderful care these past 2 years and OSF Hospice in her final weeks.
