LaVerne Kaufmann
LaVerne L. Kaufmann, 97, of Cissna Park passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington. She was born May 3, 1920 in Cissna Park, the daughter of Albert and Bertha Feller Kaufmann and they preceded her in death in addition to six brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by three brothers, Cal (Carolyn) Kaufman of Cissna Park, Albert "Jun" (Ruby) Kaufman of Cissna Park and Don (Glady) Kaufmann of Bloomington; one sister, Sal Markwalder of Cissna Park; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Kaufman of Cissna Park and Edith Kaufman of Fort Wayne, IN; 52 nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Ms. Kaufmann was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Cissna Park.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Apostolic Christian Church in Cissna Park. Ministers of the church will officiate. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery at Cissna Park.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Fairview Haven Nursing Home in Fairbury.
