John W. Stork, 84, Roberts, passed away at 10:50 am Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
John was born June 14, 1937 in Fairbury, IL the son of Henry and Ida Hanni Stork. He married Eunice Fehr on July 25, 1964 in Pontiac, IL. She survives in Roberts. Other survivors include their children, Ann Stork, Bill (Shay) Stork, Barbara Stork, Lorrie (Rex) Shambrook, all of Roberts; Michael (Marie) Stork, Bloomington; Karie (Mark) Edelman, Fairbury; ten grandchildren, Chance Edelman, Tori Edelman, Kyler Stork, Michaela Stork, Rachel Stork, Kaden Stork, Shayla Stork, Gracie Edelman, Jolyn Stork, Elle Stork; Siblings, Elmer (Darlene) Stork, Chatsworth; Harvey Stork, Fairbury; Lena Jones, Forrest; Henry (Susan) Stork, Forrest; Wayne Stork, Fairbury; Helen Voeste, Forrest; Wilma (David) Kieser, Bloomington; 2 sisters-in-law, Susie Stork, Chatsworth, and Gwen Stork, Fairbury. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one infant sister. John served in the United States Army, was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury. John’s funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairbury Apostolic Christian Cemetery with military rites accorded by the Fairbury VFW and American Legion posts. Visitation will be 3:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Thursday at the church. The family suggests memorials be given to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Research Foundation or to the charity of your choice. John’s faith, family and friends were very important to him and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Leona B. Nussbaum, 91, of Fairbury, went home to heaven at 12:53 am Friday, October 15, 2021 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at the Apostolic Christian Church of Bloomington-Normal, with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be in Graceland, Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Fairbury. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Monday, October 18, 2021, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Monday at the church in Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Leona’s name may be made to the Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury or the charity of the donor’s choice. Leona was born February 8, 1930, in Forrest Township; a daughter to Ira and Leona (Abersoll) Nussbaum. She is survived by her three sisters, Janice and Carol Nussbaum of Fairbury; and Doris Huber of Bloomington; one sister-in-law, Janice E. Nussbaum; 23 nieces and nephews, namely, Connie (Les, dec.) Woodcock, Cara Nussbaum, Cheryl (Rod) Heimer, Candace (Dave) Huber, Brent (Cheryl)Nussbaum, Kirk Nussbaum, Tianne Overmyer, Terry (Debbie) Nussbaum, Luann (Jerry) Endress, Jay (Ann) Nussbaum. Elaine (Lynn) Stoller, Alan (Laura) Nussbaum, Jill (John) Schlipf, Jan Nussbaum, Rollin Nussbaum, Devon (Ken) Rinkenberger, Kevin (Bertha) Nussbaum, Dana (Eddie) Meister, Kim Nussbaum, Mark (Mary) Huber, David (Debbie) Huber, Ryan (Terri) Huber, and Laurie (Terry) Steffen. Also surviving are many great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Alden, Willis, Dean, Wayne, infant brother, Glen Robert, and Byron; five sisters-in-law, Elna, Betty, Marion, Neola and Tillie Nussbaum; and one brother-in-law, Robert Huber. Leona graduated from Forrest Township high school as Valedictorian of her class. She was employed at National Bank of Fairbury for many years and later worked in Bloomington, retiring from State Farm Insurance Co. She was an avid photographer and traveled extensively in the States and Canada with her two sisters, Janice and Carol. Leona was a member of the Bloomington-Normal Apostolic Christian Church and appreciated the fellowship of her church. She loved to add her beautiful soprano voice in song and worship of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She enjoyed the love and closeness shared by her family who will deeply miss her. We rejoice knowing Leona is full of joy and in the presence of her Lord. Dorothy D. Householder, 103, of Fairbury, passed away at 8:30pm, Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury. Funeral will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the First Presbyterian Church, Fairbury. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service also at the church. Burial will take place at South Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Fairview Haven Retirement Community or the First Presbyterian Church, both of Fairbury. Dorothy was born December 28, 1917 in Belle Prairie Twp., IL, the daughter of Nelson Travis and Ada Wilborn Hieronymus. She married John L. Householder on December 21, 1930 in Fairbury. He preceded her in death on September 30, 2010. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy (John) Fry of Scottsdale, AZ; granddaughter, Nicole (Mark) Borgman; and two great-grand-children, Harrison and Emma Borgman all of Mesa, AZ. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; triplet sons, Dean and Duane who died at birth and John N. Householder who died on March 28, 2017. Dorothy attended schools in Belle Prairie Twp. and Cropsey, IL. She lived most of her life on the farm. She was previously a member of the Eastern Star, Fairbury Golf Course and Country Domestic Science Club where she was a past president. Dorothy always enjoyed a game of golf and bridge. She loved her home, family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Fairview Haven for their love and support of their mother and grandmother. Mary A. Beckley, 97, of Fairbury, passed away at 6:45am, Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury. Graveside service will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Fairbury Fire Dept. or the Livingston County Humane Society. Mary was born on August 5, 1924 in Fairbury, the only child of Reuben and Madge Opperman Fuller. She married N. Warren Beckley on June 19, 1943 in Fairbury. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1989. Her parents also preceded her in death. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Martha Beckley of Fairbury and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary and her husband, Warren, owned and operated Beckley Floor Coverings in Fairbury, where she was the bookkeeper. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fairbury.
