Furry & Feathered Friends
Pets are good for us, especially for senior citizens. Recognition of this truth is growing through research in the benefits of pets.
At Fairview Haven, Wally the Sheltie collie dog roams the halls. He is a delight to those who live here. Formerly, we had a black cocker spaniel dog named Gilmore. Gilmore established some fame as a columnist in News From the Haven. Click here to read archives of his PawPrints column. Various residents have their own parakeets in their rooms. One resident said, "I don't know what I'd do without my bird. He keeps me going." A new aquarium graces the library and creates a lot of interest in our community. We also have visiting animals on various occasions. |
The joy of children and animals!
