Ice Cream Social!

Last fall, we enjoyed our new patio so much that
we decided to host an ice cream social so others could enjoy it with us.

Thanks to volunteer Harvey Schieler who organized it, we had an overflow crowd.
About 400 guests joined us for a 'patio-warming' on August 24, 2008!
Along with homemade ice cream and toppings,
we enjoyed gospel music by Deer Fry International.

You need a lot of ice cream to feed 400 people.
All that ice cream was cranked up in a jiffy, thanks to these three volunteers.

Early sampling was encouraged to make sure that the ice cream was edible!


We were a little nervous as a light drizzle began just before the event.


But it soon cleared off and the umbrellas were put away.
